Tai Manawa

Designed by Conan Herbert and manufactured by Sonic using the world leading "One piece, Autoclave" construction, the Tai Manawa is the most versatile Waka in the world. With our removable rudder system, this Waka can be paddled as a rudderless V1 and in minutes be turned into an ocean going, ruddered OC1. Countless hours have gone into the design and manufacture of the Tai Manawa to enable paddlers like former World Sprints Champion, Kacey Ngataki to perform at his absolute best.

We believe our Team Carbon construction is the lightest and strongest waka available in the world. Raw, exposed pre-preg carbon fibre construction, built with priority being on weight. The outside surface is clear exposed uni-directional pre-preg carbon fibre, cured in a state-of-the-art autoclave made using amazing one-piece construction. Fully rigged weight including ama and carbon kiato of 12.5kg!
